I've desided to post this art a little early since I have improve my anime eye drawing skills. Although I had a little problem with shines on Layla's hair. Ah well maybe next time I get it right.

The Smoker on the left is Mason. Unlike the normal smokers Mason can talk and remembers much his humanself after turing infected. Although he doesn't talk very much. Before the infection Mason dyed his hair blue

The survivor on the right is Layla. Before meeting Mason, Layla was with her brother and sister until she finds out she's a carrier of the virus and has to stay behind while her brother and sister leaves the country to get to china.

So far Mason and Layla are friends. Look don't jump into conclusion about them being more than friends (If that's what you're thinking) Layla would end up be a Hunter later on.
